Introduction
We are excited to introduce Voicemail Direct, a new feature that allows you to send calls directly to a specific extension’s voicemail. This is particularly useful when you know the person is unavailable or busy, and you want the caller to leave a message without ringing their phone.
How It Works
Voicemail Direct uses special feature codes to route calls straight to an extension’s voicemail. There are two types of voicemail greetings you can send callers to:
- Unavailable Greeting: Played when the user is not available.
- Busy Greeting: Played when the user is on another call.
Feature Codes
- Send to Unavailable Greeting: Dial
*81{extension}
or*81{account-number}
- Send to Busy Greeting: Dial
*82{extension}
or*82{account-number}
Replace {extension}
or {account-number}
with the actual extension number you wish to reach.
